My hair stylist recommended we try the new Saki Japanese Restaurant at the corner of Collier Blvd. and Grand Lely Blvd. so we paid our first visit for dinner tonight.
The service was excellent and they spent time with us explaining the selections of sushi, sashimi, hibachi grilled entrees and tempura entrees. Our server was very friendly and we had a good time talking with her.
Brian chose the Firestarter Tuna Sushi roll and I ordered the hibachi steak which came with grilled veggies and a choice of white, brown or fried rice and a salad with a delightful ginger dressing. Both meals were very good, attractively presented, and the portions were generous. We will definitely go back again.
Word is getting out about Saki, as even on a Monday evening in the dead of summer (our slow season), several tables were full when we arrived and several more parties arrived during our dinner, plus two people came to pick up takeout orders.
The parking is plentiful since the restaurant is in an upscale stip mall and the restaurant accepts call-in orders for takeout if you prefer to pick up your meal and take it home.
Hours: The restaurant opens at 11:00 every day for lunch and closes at 9:00 PM (10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday nights.)
