Get the small "apartment" size rooms. Very short 2 minute, safe walk to the beach. There's a decent coffee shop, beach bar place 1 minute walk next door for that much needed cup of Joe since their kitchens don't have any coffee makers. There's a decent, convenient restaurant right out back on the canal side, can't miss it. If you're looking for a less expensive off season place practically on the water this will suit you. It's only a matter of time before somebody buys their land and demolishes it to build another condo building. The place has a sort of 60's beach retro feel but it gets it done for a fair price. Around the corner is a small market convenience store if you don't want to drive for a few needed supplies. My only complaint is that the A/C is a bit weak, OK to cool the BR but not the whole apartment so leave the BR door open when away.

This place takes you back. The beach is the best on the west coast of Florida. White Sandy beach, sand that doesn't not stick to you..convenient and comfortable. Ask for coffee pot. There's no place nearby for coffee.

Room Tip: Any room is good.very comfortable.

This Lighthouse Inn takes you back to maybe the 60's. Very well decorated.
We had what they call the apartment with one bedroom, has full kitchen but no dishwasher. No big deal.Has nice place to sit in front of your room. Pool area is very nice.
We had a coupon witch was honored. Only stayed two nights as we had to be in Lehigh Acres.
Vanderbilt Beach was just across the street. Very easy to carry your beach stuff.
Manager Pedro and his wife Angie are very friendly, and live on property. Only met owner Judy briefly.
Would recommend this place. Would love to spend about a month here in the winter.

We stayed at this motel 5 years ago, we decided to stay there again on this visit, we stayed for a total of 5 days this time around.
This a little gem of a place very quirky and very very old. The best part of this motel is its location, the beach is just across the road.
The I bed apartment cost $100 per night which is cheap for the area, all the other hotels in this location are very new and modern, the reason this motel still stands is that the owner refuses to sell, when sold this motel will be gone.
Now if you want new modern with full room service and mod cons, this motel is not for you.
This motel has a restaurant to the rear, don't bother eating there the food was really disappointing, the menu suggests that the food is prepared fresh, when in fact it all come out of a freezer and deep fried, just rubbish, the only good thing about this restaurant was the stunning views.

Like the reviews say....step back in time....way back! It was amazingly clean and we had a pleasant stay. Location was close to the beach.

Major problem was no coffee....anywhere near early morning!

Also...take your own shampoo!

Room Tip: Look at room before you commit
