We were disappointed and felt misled by reviews and photos.
Service: the hotel seems to be running on a skeleton crew. There is no regular cleaning service. You must request anything you need. Towels, trash, ice, etc. That's right - if not requested, trash would simply build up in your room. Additionally, while most of the staff members were friendly, there was one in particular who was incredibly rude on more than one occasion (even hanging up on us!). I wouldn't mention this if it didn't feel as if it was intentional rudeness.
Pool: don't be mislead by the photos. There is no bar staff on the pool deck. Even worse, the pool area is not maintained. Towels are left on chairs and the ground all day/night. As excited as we were about this amenity, we did not use it.
Restaurant: not open.
Location: good. Access to the SLS beach chairs is good/easy.
Conclusion: our experience led me to believe the hotel is on the verge of closing. In fact, I hope that's the case! Otherwise, it is just a horribly managed hotel. It felt like staying in a hostel (without the roommates).
