We're big Nobu fans. My wife collects them. Someday we'll wind up in Moscow just to eat at the Nobu there, I'm sure.
The one at the Eden Rock Hotel in Miami Beach is special. The decor is beautiful, and it's not as loud as some of the other newer ones. I'm talking to you Nobu 57.
As always we got the Omakase chef's tasting. We were extremely impressed with the freshness of the ingredients. The mackeral, the lobster, and the Wagyu beef really stood out from the seemingly never-ending parade of food that landed on our table.
Nobu also works exclusively with the Hokusetsu Sake Brewery on Sado Island in Japan. Among their offerings is Junmai Daiginjo Koshitanrei Hikari. This is the smoothest, tastiest sake we've ever had, and one of the reasons we love to come to Nobu. Undiluted, but not unfiltered like a Nigori. So good! Expensive? Yes, but nothing at Nobu isn't.
Reward yourself for a special occasion! Also, word is that Nobu is opening it;s own hotel within the Eden Rock. That will definitely be something special!
