Beautiful grand old hotel, modernized and posh.
But I will concentrate on the beach, which is OK. During our entire stay the water did not look that inviting, so we had to travel down to South Pointe Park, some 2 miles to the south to find clean, blue, inviting H2O.
But I do want to give a shout out to the management company, Boucher Brothers, that handles the umbrellas, towels and chairs on the beach for Loews. They were more professional than any similar group that I have ever encountered. Managers promoting staff. Other staff promoting new hires and explaining leadership skills. It was nice to hear the buzz as I lay there soaking up the sun. Also I will give a shout out to Roman for sending us down to Porta Sagua, a restaurant that has been there for over a hundred years, for some authentic fish soup and oxtail stew. Roman also suggested we try Lure Fishbar for possibly the best seafood in South Beach.
I thought well about Boucher Brothers even before I forgot my phone on a lounge chair after I collected the towels and returned to my room. One and a half hours later realizing I had left my phone on the beach, I returned to the beach, to the towel cabana, to learn that one of their employees brought it there for safe keeping. Truly, remarkable. Thanks.More
