If you're looking to explore a little culture while in Miami Beach, I would recommend this museum. The overall collection reminded me of the Smithsonian in that it collects and preserve items that reflect art, architecture, industrial design and culture of the 20th century. There is also a lovely book store/cafe on the the ground level.

the best activity is the bike trail, stay off the beach from 11 - 4 its too hot; go for the museums during this time; the wolfsonian is great, i did not see something like this picture above, what i saw was an art museum; other museum is the art deco; and the art deco motels are great to see; overall the restaurants were too expensive, and they forced you to pay an additional minimum of 18 per cent tip; i did it twice and not again, i did not like it, a forced tip; so i started buying food from these local smaller shops which were more cuban; there is a trolley on the miami beach, which is free, and can be like a free tour, you can just ride it all the ride to the end;

A must if you are on south beach for more than 48 hours and enjoy seeing something new and different. Very well done.

It was really hot so I had to drag my reluctant husband here, but he was glad I did.

The main themes are propoganda and design, both illustrated with an eclectic selection of items. There are some fabulous examples of art deco on display.

The A/C is effective and the atmosphere is both physically and culturally cool! A great way to spend a couple of hours, all for $12 each.

The museum shop is also worth a visit, with some quirky pieces for sale.
