Wonderful! Definitely worth returning. Rooms clean, comfortable and stylish. Staff very courteous and efficient. Next to all the South Beach action. Beach across the street. Complimentary beach towels, chairs, umbrella, bicycles.

We stayed here because the hotel we had booked had not re-opened following the hurricane. The reviews were decent & pictures looked good, and we needed somewhere to stay. Not the worst place, but definitely not the best. Service is Poor. Twenty minutes to check in (after an 8 hour flight delay ), then sent to the wrong building! Walk to the correct building was through the service corridor & a closed ice cream shop. Room service was barely a thing - our friends had to share 1 towel on day 2. Did not receive pool keys; there is no bathroom or bar/food at the small pool. Chairs are about 3" off the ground. Overall, the place needs a remodel & much better service. Daily breakfast is sufficient.

We stayed here for a Bachelorette Party and of course with any hotel located on the strip you a weary with not too many expectations. i must say this hotel blew my mind. We booked the hotel suites which were wonderfully chic, beautiful bathrooms and spacious beds with a Pull out couch. the lighting in the bathroom is every womans dream and the showers were aweome.
The suites are not located in the the main building, they are next door (which was annoying with suitcases, but the young gentlemen at reception gladly carried them for us). From the lobby you have to walk through the restaurant and yogurt/ice cream shop to get to the elevator. The upside is its right beside The Clevlander and you get a discount from the ice cream shop.
The lobby is as gorgeous as the pictures and the connecting restaurant has a stage with a live music most nights. breakfast was included and it was pretty well rounded.
The pool is on the roof top and connects both buildings as well. Its super nice and looks over the restaurant on top of the stage.

Downsides- Check in .. When we first checked in they were so confused and taking their time trying to find our reservation. Then they dont accept debit cards as payments (not sure if its just canadian debit-visa's but either way it was annoying!) When I payed in cash the rude receptionist had nerve AND time to sit there and give me 1$ in pennies!! i left it as tip (i wish i remembered her name).You'll notice shes the only spanish girl one who doesnt smile or posses any problem solving skills!
the rest of the staff, reception, management, room service were all super stars. Honorable mention goes the a young African-american receptionist who was beyond joyful, welcoming, happy and kind. Wish I remembered her name as well.

Many of our guest frequently stay with us for a Bachelor/Bachelorette Party and so happy that the lucky bachelorette chose the Breakwater South Beach. It's great that the staff assisted you with your luggage and hoped you and the ladies took advantage of the yummy gelato! I apologize for the confusion locating your reservation and obtaining the payment method. It's company policy to accept only credits cards that have the EMV chip as we comply with the new credit card policy. If your debit card had your name with an EMV chip there should have been no issues but rest assure we will speak with the entire Front Office team to make sure everyone understands our the policy clearly without fail. We loved having you and when you're ready to return to Miami Beach, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at reservations@breakwatersouthbeach.com so that our team can go over any specials we have going on especially for our returning guest.

After staying in many hotels nearby, this hotel definitely stands out. We ended up in this hotel due to a relocation since casa grande cancelled our reservation at the last minute without any notice. I was very upset we were forced to relocate, but once I entered the lobby of this hotel i was very pleased. Our room was small, but we were satisfied. Everything we needed was included including complimentary coffee, tea, bottles of water, wifi, breakfast so very happy with this hotel and it's location. Staff was very nice. Pool was also a plus. Looking forward on staying on this hotel in the future.

As we had to make a quick booking due to our booked Hotel cancelling due to Storm damage we chose Breakwater, a nice enough Hotel , we had a front street room small but workable. due to the double glazing no street sounds which was good . lots of bathroom towels soft and smelt good. staff lovely and very helpful. loved that you had access to their bycles for free that was great. Good food if purchased , except the breakfast which came with the room was not good . Even the bread tasted stale , there was no fruit . the other thing i would have like to have seen after been there for 5 days was the pool be cleaned. I’m sure they clean it but not sure how often.
