Stayed here the first week of April 2012, had a great time! We stayed in the themed room "People from the Fifties" was very clean with cool retro furniture and decor. Although the view was nothing to write home about it was very quiet and toward the middle of the hotel. I recommend a room towards the middle as street noise could be an issue for some folks. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small issue at check in with being given two double beds instead of a much more preferred queen. Jennifer at the front desk did her majic and got us the bed we wanted. Jennifer was so so helpful and nice to deal with throughout our entire stay!! The Pelican offered free drinks every night between 4 - 6 PM, that was awesome! And for us, having the beach just across the street and with complimentary chairs and cushions was a big bonus as well! I would give this place a big 5 out of 5 stars!!!
