With a name like Tumi, I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant. Traveling from BRaton, enroute to a movie in Pompano, we decided to have dinner at Tumi. It would be my co-worker's first time eating Peruvian food. Instead of looking forward to the dinner with elation, I was so disappointed to be given re-heated lomo saltado. The fries were dry, the meat, typically flambeyed in seconds, had a chewy bite. I do not think I have ever eaten re-heated lomo at a restaurant. I have eaten poorly made lomo before. But this one was both - reheated and poorly made. It was a huge turn off. I would have been better off cooking this fresh at home. I doubt I will return to a restaurant that cannot even bother to pour love into the neals of their diners.
As for the service, it was great! Too bad the food was the opposite. Our waitress, Charito, did an excellent job. I believe that is her name. At least that is what it says on the receipt.
Additional Info - Located inside a busy plaza. Would benefit from having Peruvian flag or something more eye grabbing because it is hard to find this eatery.
