Wow this was a great dinner and we were both exceedingly happy with the service, quality, portion size, and ambiance. Since it was my birthday menu had my name on it and they gave me a birthday card at the end of service. Waitress did a great job giving history of the restaurant and explaining the dishes.
We had the cheese plate as an appetizer which I did think was great but a bit overpriced. Then for dinner we had the beef filet and paella. The beef was so tender and flavorful- it was superb! The paella was great as well with huge seared scallops, clams and shrimp. Sangria was wonderful however there are no mixed drinks just beer and wine.
Our desserts were creme brûlée (they call it something different) and tres leches. We both agreed the brûlée was out of this world crazy good the tres leches was good but in comparison couldn’t compare to the brûlée.
Outside is cute but this is on a busy street so you can hear cars go by (though they do their best to screen off the street and noise). Inside is small but lovely, very tasteful and romantic. Hands down best food I have ever eaten in Lakeland and it compares to the best restaurants in Tampa and Orlando area. I do think it’s a bit pricey but I will go back for special occasions and can’t wait to try the Sunday brunch!
