Fi you are tired of the pretension of Boca and delray, drive 15 min to Lake Worth. From the street painting festival to great still Florida priced local bars like Igots you can have a nice time without the $14 drinks in Delray or boca. Many true mexican joints too if you look

Since I have moved to South Florida eight years there have been some changes to downtown Lake Worth. Additional restaurants and art gallery have opened up trying to give the area the Del Ray Beach "feel". They still have a way to go to match downtown Del Ray Beach. Still worth a visit.

Loved our stay in Lake Worth. The little town is sweet. We loved supporting local business. The Pelican was great for breakfast-try their pancakes! The trinkets store was awesome jewelry, of course Starbucks. The pet store had lots of fun stuff. Their are great restaurants and we even were their for the chalk paint event. We loved that it wasn’t super busy or touristy

Downtown Lake Worth has been cleaned up over the years, a younger 20-30s has moved in on the scene and flooded it with their mark. Its not Palm Beach or Delray but its something for the locals in the middle.

I was pleasantly surprised when we visited this area, to see the small town, small shop
atmosphere. After reading very negative things about Lake Worth in general, I was delighted to see that the east end of the town is alive and well and seems to be thriving.
Because it was evening and we did not have the opoortunity to visit many shops, I cannot say whether or not the prices are reasonable but it looked so inviting that I plan to make another visit soon and check out the area in greater detail.
