Loved our stay in Lake Worth. The little town is sweet. We loved supporting local business. The Pelican was great for breakfast-try their pancakes! The trinkets store was awesome jewelry, of course Starbucks. The pet store had lots of fun stuff. Their are great restaurants and we even were their for the chalk paint event. We loved that it wasn’t super busy or touristy

Downtown Lake Worth has been cleaned up over the years, a younger 20-30s has moved in on the scene and flooded it with their mark. Its not Palm Beach or Delray but its something for the locals in the middle.

I was pleasantly surprised when we visited this area, to see the small town, small shop
atmosphere. After reading very negative things about Lake Worth in general, I was delighted to see that the east end of the town is alive and well and seems to be thriving.
Because it was evening and we did not have the opoortunity to visit many shops, I cannot say whether or not the prices are reasonable but it looked so inviting that I plan to make another visit soon and check out the area in greater detail.

Went to Lake Worth for an event and visited the downtown area. There were a couple of really good restaurants we had an opportunity to sample. There was a playhouse and a boutique movie house we wanted to stop at but did not have the opportunity (maybe next time) and there were a number of cute little shops we looked at.
Whatever you do, don't get stopped behind a UPS truck. They will just stop in the middle of the street and hold up traffic while they make deliveries. This seems to be OK with local law enforcement. Drivers also are very impatient if you are hesitant and are glad to honk and shout at you if you are not fast enough.
But the dining is good and it's a nice place to walk about, it is worth a visit.

Lovely, lively downtown area with shops, restaurants, bars, music, events, and festivals there is something for everybody! Even when there are no special events happening, downtown Lake Worth is always great for walking and people watching!
