My family and I had a great time in the Florida keys! The Holiday Inn was very clean and friendly. The hotel was fully booked when we stayed on 6/29/15, other than some light noise above us (we stayed in room 130, first floor) there was nothing bad to report. The hotel restaurant was very accommodating to our family and the kids had a great wood fired margarita pizza!
Sombrero beach is very close by and one of the only "beaches" to enjoy in the keys. There is a great playground for the kids as well as picnic areas and a sand "beach." The seaweed can be a bit much for those not ready for it, but if you bring flip-flops or water shoes you will be good to go!
Our kids are 2 and 5 and after the 4 hour drive from Sarasota they were ready to get out of the car. I'm glad the hotel had a good breakfast in the morning. Key west was our next destination and we got there in about an hour and a half after a bathroom break or two! This is a great place to stop if you are traveling through the keys since it is half way through the islands and has good rooms and good food. More
