This is the second time, my husband and I drove down to the Florida Keys from NY and very happy to arrive at Jolly Roger. This year we brought our daughter who absolutely loved the campsite. We tent camped on Tiki Island and love the water view. Waking up each morning to the beautiful view is amazing. Everyone that works there is wonderful. They are polite and courteous. The only thing I would suggest to management is sectioning off Tiki Island into the four tent sights. It's a little confusing because there are only three tiki umbrellas and when we set up tent we were accused of being in someone's space and also told by another guest that we shouldn't be there because there are only three tents allowed on Tiki Island, which is inaccurate. Other than that, we love Jolly Roger...the facilities are super clean which is important to me as well as my family. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Jolly Roger and look forward to our stay there again next year.

We planned our trip to the keys for months and read the good reviews about the park but when we got there, we were disappointed. We asked for a “premium” site but were put in a standard site. They didn’t accept our discount card and we were nowhere near the water like it says on the website. I wouldn’t recommend this park.

The location was ideal, and the setting was idyllic, with numerous and great amenities. Our site was very close to the Gulf, and the sunsets were amazing. This RV park had some of the best WiFi we've ever had at an RV park. A few minor caveats: the RV's are fairly close together and densely packed, the roads are a little narrow and some of the turns are a little sharp, making it difficult for those who had a really big rig, although we didn't have much trouble with our 35 ft. TT with our pickup. Also, if you're doing laundry bring LOTS of quarters. The washers and dryers are somewhat on the expensive side, and the dryers take longer than they should. But this is a great place, and we are anxious to go back again.

This is our 7th year at the Jolly Roger and we could not be happier.
Even after hurricane Irma went through, the staff have done a marvellous job of ensuring "everything" in the park is at least back to normal and also many new improvements.
Our regular neighbours are back again and that is the other thing that makes this park so special.
Thanks to all at the Jolly Roger for your hard work in making February 2018 another great year in the Keys for us.

We stayed here for 3 nights in January, getting the last site in the middle of the resort at almost the last minute. It is right on the Gulf, but not all sites are of course. There's a communal area with a covered space for watching sunsets, gathering at night, having a picnic....It seems that many of the RVers are long-term people, spending an extended time as snowbirds. There's an activity calendar and one of the nights they had music in the covered pavilion, ending promptly at 10 pm. I enjoyed sitting outside and listening to all the "oldies." Pool exercise time every morning too. Each site has plenty of room, despite that the resort looks cramped at first sight. The grounds are kept tidy and pretty. People were friendly, check-in was a breeze. It has a modern, very clean bathhouse. It was very chilly and windy while we were there and the bathrooms were toasty warm. Jolly Roger is located right near the Dolphin Research Center and close to the Turtle Hospital, both very interesting places to visit. It's about 45 min. from Theater of the Sea, also a good destination. And it's an hour from Key West. A fair amount of restaurants are within a half hour each way. We would return, hopefully with kayaks next time when the water isn't rough.
