My family and I just returned from 4 nights at Pelican Cove. It was an amazing stay. We had an ocean view room that did not disappoint. We had our own little beach on a lovely cove. Perfect spot to swim in the ocean, lay in the sun and play in the sand. The property is gorgeous and offers many amenities included in the resort fee. These include use of bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, and a light continental breakfast. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave which was very convenient. Trying to stay on budget, we were able to go out to eat only once per day. There is a Publix grocery store right down the road which was a great place to get a light dinner and bring it back to the room without breaking the bank.
Although we loved the resort and our stay, there are some things you should be aware of. Pelican cove has 3 "sister" resorts in the area. We took advantage of the beautiful Post Card Inn right next door. However, I do feel like Pelican Cove is the neglected little sibling of the resorts. Our lobby closed early every day of our stay. Some days as early as 3pm. We had to rely on Post Card Inns lobby if we needed anything. Since covid, housekeeping does not come to the room each day which means floors and beds get very sandy....My family and I just returned from 4 nights at Pelican Cove. It was an amazing stay. Some days as early as 3pm. We had to rely on Post Card Inns lobby if we needed anything. Since covid, housekeeping does not come to the room each day which means floors and beds get very sandy. Getting towels and toiletries was also a bit more difficult since we had to go through the other resort to communicate if we wanted anything after our lobby closed. The resort fee was also supposed to include snorkel equipment, but that was suspended due to covid as well. I wish I would have known and I could have packed our own. There is one tiki bar on site which was excellent, but there is really not much activity going on at this resort. If you want more action you definitely need to go next door. The rooms are very small. It worked for us because we spent lots of time on our balcony enjoying our amazing view. We had a 2 queen room. They also have a full size couch in the room which takes up lots of space. I would suggest getting a king room and using the pull out couch if you want more room. There are weddings next door on both weekend nights and you can hear the party loud and clear. We enjoyed it but some may not.
That being said, we will definitely be back. The staff was nothing but nice, especially Jasmyn who checked us in at The Postcard Inn since Pelican Coves lobby was closed. The two neighboring resorts should really be considered one.More
