Couldn't help myself from taking a break here while driving out of the Florida Keys just for a taking a picture with the giant lobster. Was surprised to find a so many small artisan shops hidden behind the lobster. They have some pretty cool collection of decorative items. Its a good place to stop if you wanna get a souvenir for your trip to the Florida Keys and ofcourse a photo opp with the Giant Lobster.

The village is cute but the stuff is overpriced cheap goods made in China. Most of the stores were closed midweek in August. The Lobster is the eye catching main attraction.

You could be driving at a fast clip and easily pass up the place. Keep an eye out for the giant lobster sculpture and pull in. You will be glad you did. There are several shops all clustered together selling various items. It is a stop worth making, so look up the address and keep your eyes peeled. Well worth the stop.

Local artists and some touristy items but much nicer than your typical gift shop. Definitely worth stopping by.

When you slam on your brakes to take a picture of the giant lobster on the side of the road...take a minute to wonder back into the shops at Rain Barrel. As others have said, it's a little touristy in front, but in the back you will meet real Keys residents creating real Keys art. The artists are genuinely friendly and helpful, and you are bound to find some kind of treasure to take home.
