We really enjoyed the dolphin swim! This is something I had wanted to do for a long time, and our 5-year-old son has been reading about dolphins and was really excited to see them up close. Fins and life jackets are provided if you need them. Our 5-yr-old is a good swimmer, but we still put the life jacket on him knowing he'd be distracted by the dolphins - we were glad we did, since he was comfortable and able to really enjoy the experience! He even held on to their fins for the dorsal tow all by himself, which he was really proud of and has continued to talk about a lot! The trainer was great - very nice, clearly explained what to expect, and made the whole thing very comfortable through all the behaviors. I only take off one star because, given that this is a fairly expensive experience to begin with, charging $80 for the digital photos feels a bit steep.

The Theater of the Seas is like stepping back in time. The dolphin show is equal to what a larger park would offer. Save money on the one on one interactions unless you LOVE dolphins or sea lions. You will be close to the parrots, sea lions and dolphins in the shows. I was surprised at how close they let the audience sit. They also offer a “lagoon” for snorkeling. No one was participating in that option. The water is murky, and there are about 10 large parrot fish that will eat fish food from your hand.

For a rainy or windy day this is a great choice.

What a great place to visit! All of the shows were outstanding, from the dolphin show to the sea lion show and the parrot show. The animals were fun to watch and the trainers worked so well with them. We weren't able to swim with the dolphins because we needed to book that ahead of time, so was a little disappointed. Other than that, it was a fun afternoon. Would highly recommend it.

More than we expected! We have driven past Theatre of the Sea many times and due to a cancellation of another excursion, decided we must go here. It was more than just a zoo. You take a guided tour of the stingray bay, reptile area, parrots, dolphin and seal areas and glass bottom boat. All shows were included in the admission price. The parrots, seal lions and dolphin show were great. It was fun and educational as well. There is an additional charge to swim with the dolphins or sea lions. We spent much more time there than we expected and turned out to be more fun than we ever expected. The park looks larger than it really is so it is fine for small children as well as seniors. You can spend as much time as you like at the park even after the shows. Highly recommend if in the area.

We loved this place! We booked the Dolphin Swim for 4 people, including a 5-yr-old. Everyone working there is terrific and friendly, and Paula (our trainer) was amazing. The interaction was perfect for everyone and we felt it was worth the money. We didn't see much of the rest of the park so I can't judge that, but the parts we saw were clean, groomed, and maintained. We will plan on returning in the future.
