It's been too long since our last KW trip and we have always stayed at the Casa Marina but at $470 a night it's a little pricey for a quick summer getaway. Decided to book the Westin and we were quite pleased. The location is great, close to everything yet remarkably quiet, room was really big and they upgraded to a partial ocean view. Enjoyed our time there and would definitely book again.

We have never been disappointed with of our stays here. We love the location and we have always experienced great service. The rooms are clean, smell good and have complimentary bottles of water (which we really appreciated with the humid weather.) We always order breakfast through room service. The menu has quite a few options and we found the food tasty and visually appealing. We only had to wait about 30 min. for it to arrive. We never book an oceanview room because we like the view of the pool and we don't have to worry about a cruise ship blocking our view. The gym is a little basic but at least there is a place to do cardio. Fresh towels and water in the gym were greatly appreciated. We always tell our friends to stay here. We find it worth the cost.

Everything was perfect from valet parking, check-in, our suite, even the views of the cruise ships were not an issue. We were out most of the day and when we returned they were gone. We had a 2 room suite and the cruise ship blocked about half our view, I rather enjoyed seeing them. The cruisers were polite. Our suite had 4 balconies all had partial views of the water and the pool. Very expensive suite but five of us were traveling together and it is equipped with two king beds and 1200 sq feet. A beautiful room and exquisite service.

With that being said, upon checkout and knowing we are going to be staying in Key West for a few more hours we opted to have breakfast at the hotel Bistro. Our waiter Vicky (male) was a bit abrupt from the beginning but we didn't let it bother us. We asked when the ships started docking in Mallory Square and not at the Naval Base, he brushed us off and another waiter quickly began talking to us. Our food took quite a long time to arrive, my mother-in-law ordered eggs Benedict, the inside yolk was cooked hard boiled, my son- in-law ordered eggs over easy, they were prepared the same. He never returned to check so we ate what we could. When he finally returned with our final bill of 78.00 for breakfast for 5, I mentioned the Eggs Benedict to which he replied, "when ordering them you must specify how you want the center". I explained Eggs Benedict are always served poached and he proceeded to argue with me in front of all the customers, outside. We immediately dropped the conversation and he walked away in a huff. Rule number one, the customer is always right...rule number two...most customers know what they are eating when they order it and how it should be prepared. He then took a simple $8.00 off my bill, not good enough.

We will return to the Westin, we will not return to the Bistro. Overall I would recommend this hotel as once you park your car you never need it again. If you find yourself eating at the hotel, avoid this waiter and be careful what you order...my husband did enjoy his omelet.

Room Tip: The Hemmingway Suite was excellent!

We have been to the Westin in Key West four different times and each time we go we still want to go back. The staff is so nice and helpful. A man named Varcili is a server there and we enjoyed his company and glad he has become an American citizen. We enjoyed the pool and the whirlpool bath. We enjoyed the sunset celebrations in front of the hotel. We like the closeness and the fact that we could walk anywhere we wanted to visit. Just one thing we would like to see change: the loud talking of the men cleaning the pool early in the morning when we were trying to sleep. And the noisy wheels on the laundry carts.
Overall, each visit has been a positive experience.

I traveled to the Westin in Key West on Business. It was nice, but expensive for the room amenities. At 279 a night I expect to get a fridge in the room, and for the coffee service not to be in the closet. The beds were harder than other Westin's I've stayed in. The pool area, decor, food and meeting room was lovely. Nice views from the Balconey. We had trouble signing on to Internet in our meeting the first day.
