“Your Place to Relax”
Reviewed 16 February 2012

I've stayed here 3 times. Convenient to Duval Street, great restaurants, and entertainment. Tracy (has been there for years so she knows what she's doing) and the staff make you feel like you're in a different world and there to relax. Breakfast offers a variety of choices and happy hour has an open bar and nice munchies.

Stayed 3 nights in the Jamaica suite. It was great. The accommodations, the happy hour, the breakfast, the location-all excellent. The room was very comfortable, even had a safe and a very quiet air conditioner. Other things I liked were the on- location bike rental and the pool.
As is the case with most B&B lodgings in KW, parking can be a problem. It can be a little difficult to find a spot that does not require a resident permit. We solved that by parking in a lot one block west by the end of Dey Street- cost a few dollars a day- but it was worth it especially if you go in and out. You’ll get the best rate by telling them you will be there for a few days.
Even though we are seniors, we rented bikes for two days and went all over the island. It is really the way to go- just be careful of the pedestrians that don’t know where they are going, of first time mopeds divers and drivers of cars who are also reading maps! Remember to follow the normal bike rules- don’t go the wrong way down a one way street- even though it is tempting. The next time we go, we will bring our own bike mirrors so that we can see what is coming up behind us.
The very west end of Fort Zachary Taylor beach by the BBQ area was probably the best of the beaches (although all were great). There the beach has the fewest rocks and deeper water.
At the end of the day, the Inn’s 4:30 happy hour was a nice way to meet other folks and trade daily experiences and restaurant suggestions. We stopped at the Southernmost Beach Café for dinner- it’s on the beach, has good food, reasonable prices and no loud bands. You can easily watch the sunset from the nearby pier without going to Mallory Square.
For breakfast, it was the usual continental variety- nothing hot, lots of fruits; but no decaf coffee (available just in the room’s coffee maker)–no wonder we were wired by 10AM.
This was our second trip to Key West and would have no problem recommending the Harbor Inn to others.

Room Tip: The bathroom in the Jamaica suite had a slanted wall as it was probably a converted attic and that m...

The Key West Harbor Inn has the perfect location, paired with great customer service. It's where all the action is, an extremely convenient location when staying in Key West. Even better is the fantastic happy hour and breakfast included with your room. We also appreciated the hospitality from Tracy, Manager of the Inn, she'll do whatever it takes to make your stay perfect and is clearly the Harbor Inn's most valuable asset. Further still, the room was lovely, the grounds well kept, and had a charming heated pool that's open 24-7. My wife and I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to others.

Harbor Inn is a wonderful B&B with a terrific location. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, but fun. Tracy and her staff do an incredible of job of making everyone feel comfortable and very much at home. Thanks again, Tracy, and we hope to see you soon.

My wife and I stayed at the KW Harbor Inn for the 6th time last week and it just keeps getting better. Tracy and staff do such a great job of taking care of every need while making you feel comfortably at home.

Breakfast-selection of hot/cold cereals, several bread and bagel options for toast, yogurt, eggs (hard boiled), nice selection of fresh fruit, selection of juices, and several coffees, all well presented.

Happy hour-Nice selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

Pool-nice size, well kept

Grounds-very attractive tropical garden and is always well kept. Gated and Secure.

Location-Close to everything!

My Advice-Come for several days to a week. Rent a couple of bikes (Tracy will take of that for you) and have a blast. Tobago Room is great but don't try to get it the third week of Jan 2013...I've already booked it.
