“Cute, Clean but Hard Bed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2012

This charming inn was ideal for a two night stay. Our room was just feet from the beautiful, warm pool and surprisingly nice breakfast, featuring a variety of cereals, yogurts, bagels, etc. While the room was a bit small for my taste, it's quaint features and nice upgrades grew on me.

What didn't grow on me was the hard mattress and pillows. I asked after the first night if all beds were the same, and I was told they were. Nonetheless, accommodating staff retrieved a mattress topper, which indeed helped the second night.

The hospitable staff at the Key Lime and the sister B&Bs, Chelsea and Lighthouse, were a delight and very helpful. Note that because the 6 historic inns are related, you can use their pools, too! This was nice since we had friends staying at Chelsea. And the Mojito Bar at Lighthouse was very neat.

Room Tip: If you don't care for hard beds, ask about a topper, or perhaps a more expensive room may have a...

Accommodation is all in individual chalets giving good privacy. A lovely pool and breakfast around it each morning was very pleasant. Rooms by the pool would be lacking in privacy and noisier but of course be handy for swimming and for breakfast. Staff recommended a fantastic restaurant a few minutes walk away called Seven Fish. Bookings are necessary and they managed to get us a table.

This is a beautiful old hotel on Truman. In walking distance to most of the action on Duval Street. A nice continental breakfast around the pool each morning. The staff are wonderful. They even provide earplugs to reduce the sound of the roosters in the morning.

Room Tip: Upgrade from the lowest. You get a microwave and a fridge.

We stayed at the Key Lime Inn for five nights and had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and helped us pick places to eat and recommended some great night life. They were constantly offering us coupons for free drinks at certain bars. The room was comfortable and very clean. Location was perfect because we were far enough away from Duval to have some peace and quiet but close enough to walk there if we wanted to. Our only grievance was that breakfast closed a little too early at 10AM and sometimes we didn't make it in time. Overall it was a great Inn and we plan to return in the future.
