This place is truly an amazing place! And we’ve been around. If you’re looking for a 5-star yet very approachable and memorable, very-bummed-when-you-leave, chill, beautiful, special, classy, relaxed, delicious, pampered, romantic, active or not, family or group or couple or even single, short getaway or longer vacation I HIGHLY suggest you look here. It has everything you would want on a vacation and I could go on endlessly about how much we and everyone we’ve met there truly love this place. It’s a truly awesome facility with awesome landscaping and endless amenities. We’ve met so many people at the Resort (you can keep to yourself or engage with other guests) who like us are repeat enjoyers of this Resort. And we are very world travelled including literally having traveled around the world so we know of what we speak. My wife and I and our 7lb Shih Tzu Kiddo (they are very dog friendly so bring your well behaved fur babies and be a good owner while there!!) have been here several times and we keep coming and will continue going back. While we’ve stayed in all of their categories of rooms, which are all beautiful and well appointed, on our last last two visits we splurged (and the splurge isn’t even that crazy!) on a private Bungalow (ours , because they have others including a private home with a private pool right on the water, was two-story, two-full-bath-one-with-tub, full kitchen with Nespresso machine and pods we enjoyed so much, washer and dryer, amazing king bed with two sleeper sofas so perfect for a couple or a family, so quiet, and just at the edge of and secluded from the rest of Resort ) where you feel like a millionaire (actually multimillionaire!) and where every morning at your doorstep is a small, handled trunk in which is a carafe of coffee and pastries and fruits and butter and jellies and it was awesome!! ALL 3 of us truly love this Resort and the staff which is from all over the USA and from France, Brooklyn, Uzbekistan,Jamaica, South America, Haiti and other exotic places. While you’re wowed when you come for the first time, starting from when you first walk into the lobby and enjoy your complementary drink while checking in, the more you come back and immerse yourself into the Resort the more you appreciate and fall more and more in love with all they’ve done here and all they do for you while here. First, the setting is spectacular - right on the water (on the Gulf side which is the best side) with a sandy beach the length of the Resort with wide semicircular rustic concrete steps down into a dedicated swim area that you can enjoy up to your knees or up to your neck and a water sports outlet right next to the water where you can arrange for whatever you want to do in the water, including a catamaran cruise just off the Resort’s dock and off of which dock you can see various kinds of fish, crabs, starfish, harmless sharks, and even manatee. We always want one of their floats of various diameters that we anchor and hang or lay on which holds our drinks and masks and snorkels and on which we place hermit crabs and starfish to then take farther out to deeper water. There’s also beach and pool cabanas by the beautiful family-friendly pool of which we’ve availed where you can get non-stop water, drinks, food and really great service all day long. The Resort is only an hour from Miami and just far enough down in the Keys where you realize you don’t have to go any further. Met many folks from many places (very eclectic and international crowd) and some drove so they could do nearby sites and experiences and others came with no intention of leaving the Resort - why would you since in addition to the amazing beach and pool and other various amenities they have an amazing spa, 3 restaurants with truly great food (4 if you count eating at the poolside tiki bar) one with great breakfast buffet and where you can have a very romantic dinner, one with sushi and ceviche and outstanding cocktails, one raised and open air right on the water with great fare which also serves you dinner on high top tables in the water if you so arrange, two of them with nightly live music, a dedicated venue for young children to spend time if parents want to do something alone, a great gym/workout area, a great sundries shop, lots of daily activities so read what they give you when you check in about those, a nightly Eventide ritual where you can write your cares on a piece of paper while cocktailing out of a pineapple and watching the beautiful sunset right in front of you at which time they place all the papers from all the writers in a metal bowl on a small barge and light the papers on fire while they tow it out about 50 yards off shore - you must try it as it works!! Go, go, go, go etc infinity and beyond
