Arrived at 10pm- note on the door said check-in closes at 9pm- call security- but security was walking by and was checked in within 5 minutes. Room is comfortable but hauling suitcases up the stairs is a paid. Room overlooks bay- restaurant and tiki bar on site. Breakfast included from7am - 10am

Great tiki bar!! Good food. Pulled pork & steak sandwiches were excellent. Macaroni & cheese looked amazing. Live music and good drinks Nice atmosphere by the water. Boats add to ambiance. Very nice attentive staff. Highly recommend. We will be back!
Stayed for 2 nights , when we arrived it was just before 9pm so we where unable yo get any drink or food as the Tiki bar closes then .
When we went into our apartment because of the darkness we trood into feces and walked it around the apartment, went to see if we could get it cleaned but no one turned up so you can imagine the place stank .
It was cleaned up next morning when we went to reception again .
We ate at the Tiki bar the next night food was ok but we did get bitten a lot so take repellent with you.
I found the road noise quite disturbing but I'm not used to traffic.
Apartment had lovely views and was nice to sit outside ( we were on the 1st floor )
We used the pool with was a good temperature and clean
We had a night at Gilbert’s recently. We had a nice room overlooking the water.The beds were comfortable and we had a good bathroom with an excellent shower.
What disappointed us was the food at the resort. For what they charge, I expected a better breakfast. So much plastic and paper is wasted with each breakfast and no real heathy option.
The menu for dinner is similar - lots of fried food and no healthy options. All served on paper plates with plastic cutlery.
Dear Bert O, we thank you for staying with us and posting your thoughts online. Breakfast is free for hotel guests, and it includes pastries, waffles, cereal, eggs, coffee and tea, yogurt and bananas. We use biodegradable plates made from recycled materials and biodegradable cutlery in our breakfast room. There are NO plastic cups and plates used at any time. Our restaurant offers many healthy options: salads, ceviches, steamed or grilled seafood. We use reusable plates for lunch and dinner. We only used biodegradable plates for a short period ( less than a week) this month after hurricane Ian passed through the area, and damaged our equipment. We are now back to normal operations

Our first time at Gilbert’s. We came down in a boat from Miami with another couple and stayed for the night. I’ve crossed the bridge into Key Largo and never saw this place before (it’s under the bridge).
From the outside it looks like a stereotypical Florida Keys Inn. But that’s where it ends. When you enter your room you’ll be surprised to find how modern it is. everything has obviously been redone. The floors are beautiful, bathroom too. Right down to the Toto toilet! Ownership has really put some $$ into this place.
To top it off, they have a Great Tiki bar. Actually there’s three or four. Good food, live music, drinks flowing and a great staff.
I don’t normally leave reviews unless a place is great or terrible. I really wanted to promote this property. From the outside, you’d drive right by, and might not even see it if you’re on the bridge. But do yourself a favor and give it a try. Cannot recommend enough!

Beautiful place in the keys. Rooms are very clean and nicely done, a bit on a smaller side, but have everything you need. Breakfast is free and very nice too. We loved watching the dolphins from our deck, and the sunset. Restaurant onsite is great.
