While walking to our room after checking in, a couple of Jamaican maids were yelling and fighting verbally at each other very loudly. That was most unpleasant, but we got to our very basic room, nothing special, to take a nap. Shortly after getting to sleep we were awoken by the neighbors next to us walking into their room with kids, slamming doors, talking, laughing etc.. They were so loud because there was NO insulation between the rooms. It was like they were in the same room with us. The children were jumping off the furniture making literal monkey sounds. We went to the front desk and complained about the quality of our room asking for another. They said they were booked full and there was nothing they could do. The manager asked the other people to be quite later.. oh my gosh!!! Honestly, it wasn't the kids fault it was the design of the rooms with no insulation! The pool was so cold you couldn't swim in it. The hot tub was barely even warm and dirty. My hubby tried to take a hot bath because everything else was so cold and there was NO hot water either. The breakfast was awful. This place resembles a glorified Motel 6. Awful, awful place for the price!

Don’t let the word RESORT fool you. The only good thing about this place is that it is in Key Largo and has a great beach bar next door (not owned by hotel). Where to begin. Elevator works only till 7 pm and lobby and rooms in on 2nd floor and 3rd floor. Our first room was unacceptable. No hot water in bathroom. Non functioning AC in bedroom replaced by a portable AC machine placed in room and rest of unit very worn. The staff placed us in another unit and while better the balcony sliders were sealed shut. Breakfast a joke. Stale bagels and rotting fruit. Dirty/stained breakfast area chairs. While front desk staff helpful to relocate us, the rest of the staff was completely indifferent indicative of poor hotel management. Paying almost $300 for the night - a true rip off.
