Stayed here for 3 nights. Wifi never worked. Only 2 grills for the entire place. Both grills and cbeach chairs were taken over by the large family staying in the suite at the beach. The main tiki hut had no power, could not turn on lights. No lights on the boat dock or piers. Very dark. No landscape lights. People left drinks and garbage on the dock and outside the beach front suites. Won't be back!

We're very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do have a number of grills on the property in addition to the 2 located on our beach area that i belive that you are referring. The main tiki on the beach has lighting, outlets and even a ceiling fan. We promote a very quiet laid back atmosphere and must apologize if you were inconvenienced by inconsiderate actions of others stayin on the property. Although our docks do not have lighting of their own, they are illuminated indirectly near shore light fixtures. We will be sure to check if they are operating correctly. We do hope to one day welcome you back to The Pelican and thank you for the feedback regarding your stay.

Came down to the Keys to dive. Have stayed at the Pelican several times before but for some reason it seemed noisier than it was in the past. Not noise from neighbors but road noise and air conditioner noise.

However, it remains one of the more laid back and best value properties for the money in Key Largo. Staff were the best and always helpful as usual. Besides the value, the friendly service is why I keep coming back.

Room tip: The farther away from the highway the better

Thank you so much for the review and for providing feedback regarding your stay. Thank you for your loyalty over the years. The Pelican promotes a quiet atmosphere and even observe quiet time after 10 PM in an effort to keep the noise to a minimum. We do aplologize if this wasn't the case on your recent visit. We do hope to welcome you back very soon and as always, thank you for choosing The Pelican!

My family and I visited The Pelican Cottages for 6 nights at the end of July. My children and I stayed in the Rosette Cottage, and my extended family stayed in the other three adjoining cottages. We had the best time, and the views were amazing. The beach, private feel, kayaks, and calm waters are just a few of the amenities that will bring us back again. Our children(ages 20yo to 2yo) enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, and building sand castles in the sand that was raked and cleaned up each morning. The staff was very courteous and went out of their way to make sure that we had a great stay. The cottages were well equipped, clean, and air conditioned with comfortable beds and ample room to move around while visiting with others.

Room tip: If staying multiple nights, bring a broom because the beach is right outside of the front door!

Very nice stay. Our cottage was clean, cool, and comfortable. Right on the water. Kayaks are available to use. Saw some neat fish while snorkeling. Beautiful sunsets from the beach. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Can’t wait to go back!
Yes this is definitely the place I would want to stay for a few days instead of driving down the keys… it’s close to the beach and in very quaint neighborhood
It’s quiet safe.
Also rooms were cozy and comfortable!
And the area looks like a great place to explore unfortunately, was only there for one day so didn’t really get to have this experience. But on the list!
Check in check out was super easy and the manager of the property was extremely helpful and nice.
Rooms are updated and clean could not have been happier.
