Having visited Breezers Tiki Bar based on the Marriott site on our way south to Key Largo, we decided to book in for a night on our way back up North.

We got a lovely double Queen room with a fantastic palm tree view of the ocean from the balcony. All clean and functional. The Marriott is on a great site with loads of amenities and activities - good sized pool and jacquzzis, jet skiing, beach volleyball, fire pit etc. It was a great site to hang out and watch the sunset. Also enjoyed a good meal in Gus’s Grill on site.

This was an OK hotel experience for me.

PROS:
Friendly, courteous staff (though some were unmasked), regular rooms have mini fridges, suites have nice kitchens, all rooms have balconies (views vary) lots of activities (jet skis, snorkeling trips, sunset cruises, kayaking, paddle boarding, pool, and more), comfortable beds, good for families, location is right on the water.

CONS:
Confusing design: A 3-story building with a restaurant blocks most of the water views, and there are roads alongside many of the rooms. Wifi only worked 50% of the time and rooms were noisy (we heard partiers outside at night, cars and trucks going by during the day, and neighbors stomping around above us). There was no way to call the front desk from the phones in the rooms if there was a problem – we had to walk across the grounds back to the lobby and tell them in person. When my group decided to go snorkeling and learned that the hotel's tour was fully booked, the concierge wasn't able to help us find an alternative nearby. We Googled and called about 8 places ourselves until we found one with openings.

Room tip: Ask for a high floor, facing the water.

My husband and I stayed here for a week. Excellent location, lots of things to do are close. Many restaurants within a few miles and a couple right at the resort. Not a lot of beaches in the area so it was nice to have a beach at the hotel, although very small, still nice to be on the water. Nice pool and pool bar, servers were good. Room was clean and comfortable. Balcony was nice. Hallways and other areas could use some fresh paint/updates. Parking was limited. Parking spots are very small and SUVs continued parking in the compact car section, sometimes hard to find a spot.

Avoid – stay anywhere else you can find. This is a low quality dated motel - not up to Marriott's Standards in service and in quality.

This is not a resort or even a hotel. It is a motel, with some amenities, but none of them worth the price. We came because of the Marriott name and use of the words resort. Do not be fooled. Our upgraded room with an island view overlooks a back parking lot, and a RV park and RV park pool, open with family playing morning to night.
On the positive side, the restaurant on site, Gus’s is always empty ( last night, 2 other guests there a 7 pm), but we understand that is because of the quality of food and the very expensive price. Most of the website for the resort not true, (e.g. shuttles to airport, shuttle available). Of the three days, we have been here, maid service once.We should have left on day one, but our mistake we did not.

There is a pool, that is nice and a pool bar, with nice staff. The consignee, Kevin, was nice but has no idea about any activities, or options for boat tours, or any services. He sat at the computer goggling, when we asked for a Boat ECO tour, he said I found a place you can Kyack. He gave a little slip from a vendor who the location uses for all their onsite options ( run by another company by the water).
This place is a motel while generally clean, it is not that nice and not worth what they charge. Do not stay here .

This hotel is not up to Marriott Standards in customer service and in quality. Our "upgraded" room had 4 pillows that smelled like body odor, a broken sink, broken chair on balcony, a duvet cover that smelled like stinky feet and a towel rack that was almost falling off the wall. I had to complain to front desk 4 times the day we checked in. They never offered to move us and I was told a manager would call me. That didn't happen either. I have stayed in nicer Fairfield hotels that were much cheaper than this hotel. It was so bad we ended up moving to Baker's Cay.
