Avoid – stay anywhere else you can find. This is a low quality dated motel - not up to Marriott's Standards in service and in quality.
This is not a resort or even a hotel. It is a motel, with some amenities, but none of them worth the price. We came because of the Marriott name and use of the words resort. Do not be fooled. Our upgraded room with an island view overlooks a back parking lot, and a RV park and RV park pool, open with family playing morning to night.
On the positive side, the restaurant on site, Gus’s is always empty ( last night, 2 other guests there a 7 pm), but we understand that is because of the quality of food and the very expensive price. Most of the website for the resort not true, (e.g. shuttles to airport, shuttle available). Of the three days, we have been here, maid service once.We should have left on day one, but our mistake we did not.
There is a pool, that is nice and a pool bar, with nice staff. The consignee, Kevin, was nice but has no idea about any activities, or options for boat tours, or any services. He sat at the computer goggling, when we asked for a Boat ECO tour, he said I found a place you can Kyack. He gave a little slip from a vendor who the location uses for all...Avoid – stay anywhere else you can find. This place is a motel while generally clean, it is not that nice and not worth what they charge. Do not stay here .
