We enjoyed the stay and facilities. It is a great resort.
The only thing that was disappointing was we paid for breakfast upgrade with the hotel stay. The property choose not to honor the breakfast that we paid for, and instead changed our prepaid breakfast into only a $50.00 credit. They try to say they can’t control the third party bookings, but even the Hilton website has an additional breakfast included option for extra money. If you add up the difference before tax if came to $139.00 for breakfast in a double Queen room with two adults and two children under 7. So basically hope your breakfast comes in under $50.00 otherwise you have to pay the additional difference along with the $90.00 you just forfeit to them.

I will say the breakfast is great and the staff is quick and accommodating, just don’t pay up front for the breakfast because they won’t honor the $ you paid.
Pretty poor to have a pricing change at the resort especially if you have confirmation that you paid an exact difference for breakfast.

Our family was at Baker’s Cay in Key Largo prior to Christmas and had a great time! The staff was great, restaurants awesome and the activities were plentiful. We’ll definitely be back for more fun at Baker’s Cay!

we stayed in the hammock area of the hotel for five nights in december.here are the positive notes first
1.reception area is very modern and inviting
2.i liked the room . we were in room 320 with partial ocean view.(make sure you ask fr the third floor) the room was adecorated contemporary-nice size- good mattress,nice sheets,towels and hot water.also there was a pull out couch that we didint use.
3.each memeber of the staff was amazing- i have never experienced such nice people from servers to beach people. the have all been well trained-
4.the beach is not giant but it holds a lot of chairs- no umbrellas- but lots of trees with shade
5.on our hammoc side there was a lush area with beach chairs- looking out on the ocean- very nice and cool
6.pool is beautfiul but cant hold a lot of chairs- there is a kids pool and adult.
7.the food at both restaurants is fabuous- portions are large-

the negative
1.some baloney nonsense made us wait for our toom for one hour even though we were there at check in time. (got a 50$ credit -we were not happy-that was our only problem.
2.while the room furniture is conteporary- you should know that there are oly 3 draws in our room and a closet-we had to live ut of the suitcase-dont know how a family would manage with out draws.
3. too dog friendly- with spending $700 a night i dont want a dog walking in the restaurant,its unsanitary.
4.if you want peace and quiet-dont go around the holiday time -tons of kids were there.
5.they decided to paint the hallway the week we were there which was the week of christmas eve- the smell was horrendoues--strong cemical-(why not do that on the off season)
finally i dont think this is four star- even though the food and service was great- i think the dogs walking all over reudced my rating.
but if you go you will have a nice time.

Room tip: get the ocean or partial ocean view- thrid or fourth floor

This place is absolute paradise! We've stayed all over the Keys for many years and Baker's Cay is the best resort ever! We had 2 connecting rooms with waterfront views in the Coconut wing the Hammock wing has many trees blocking the Waterview. So if you want a Waterview stay in the coconut wing. Our room was very spacious and clean. We loved the large bathroom and shower. The amenities at this resort are incredible! You can snorkel right off the beach or kayak, sun on the water platforms or paddleboad. You can fish from the dock. There were so many activities for adults and children including a library, pool table, wall Scrabble as well as ping pong and corn hole. There was a nice green area for tossing footballs and these wacky chairs that were fun. There are 2 lagoon style heated pools with waterfalls, one for adults the other for children. Even with so many activities it was very quiet in the rooms. The grounds are beautiful with paths winding through the hammock of trees. It was also very convenient to many restaurants. This will be our go to resort from now on!

Room tip: Plenty of parking.

The resort is very nice however the service and rooms do not warrant a $900 per night price tag. Housekeeping is almost non existent. Called for housekeeping at 11:00 am and at 3:00 pm still no service! This happened two days in a row! Fridge in the room was leaking twice and had to call down for service twice! On arrival the key system was broken so a staff let us into the room. We had no keys for several hours! The walls are paper thin! I had to go down to reception at 11:30 pm to complain about the noise in the room next door. You can hear everything! The rooms are very dirty! Not vaccumed well at all and dirt on the walls and doors. The two Queen room is too small for a family of four. There is very little room to unpack anything ( half a closet and three tiny drawers). There is no dresser or drawers in the rooms or bathroom to unpack. The beach is beautiful and relaxing!
