A great family resort. We used this hotel as a night stop over before travelling down to Key West. The beach area was a bit limited but the jetty walk and surrounding fish life was a great experience. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Beds were slightly harder than expected. We would stay again although the hotel did not live up to the normal quality for a Hilton... Like most Hilton Hotels, it's a shame you have to pay for Internet!!!!

If you appreciate having all the amenities you need in a well appointed and cared for resort this hotel is for you. It's secluded, quiet and gorgeously set right on the bay and features a terrific pool and tennis courts. Everything about the service was gracious and attentive, yet so unobtrusive. True Florida Keys style.

My wife and I recently returned from our second visit and have committed to making it our annual anniversary spot.

I strongly recommend their tree top restaurant for a great breakfast and excellent dinner. Lunch on the beach at the bar grill is convenient and cooked to order right on the grill I front of you.

The beach itself is very wide and offers a main bathing area as well as secluded mangrove style sections that are perfect when you feel like separating yourself from the crowd.

All in all a great vacation spot for families or couples that also hosts events and smaller upscale conferences.

I was a bit nervous about booking this property after reading so many negative reviews, but I am so glad we decided to stay at this property on Spring Break with our two kids and (very large) puppy dog. The resort is a bit older, but is situated on a lovely piece of property right on the Gulf. It had so many wonedrful amenities to enjoy- a long dock to fish off of, or just take in the beautiful sunsets, a great fitness center, a nice (although a bit rocky) beach with lots of lounge chairs, an outdoor grill & bar with delicious food, two beautiful pool areas with waterfalls, tennis courts with a bonus basketball court... ping pong table and games right on the beach, and a lot of fun activities for the kids. We asked upon checking in for a room with a view (we had booked a "canopy view" room), but were told they had no extra rooms available. When we got to our room (#145), we were just thrilled to see we had a great ocean view and were actually beach front. The front desk also made sure our parents, arriving the next day, were put into the adjoining room. There was a wonderful wine and cheese reception one night for Hilton Honors members, and the view from the restaurant was just breathtaking (and the food delicious). The staff was very friendly and accommodating (especially with cleaning the room when we could take the dog on the patio for a short time). The only snag was when the front desk could not retrieve our work laptop in a timely manner on Monday morning. This is a beautiful property with a lot of wonderful amentities- I recommend it highly!

Spend 2 nights in April at this hotel and although the grounds are pretty and the rooms are a good size, the cleaning crew need to actually clean the floors and the bathroom much better. The hotel appears quite outdated and a lot of repairs are needed. I found hair all over the bathroom floor, had to clean it myself with some Clorox cleanup wipes I bought just to be sure it actually got cleaned. It appears people do not take pride in this hotel as it could be much nicer if someone actually cared to spruce it up. We got a water view which was too expensive considering the lack of cleanliness and customer service. On a brighter note the view from the 4th floor is excellent!

Room Tip: Get the water view room if you stay here.

I do business all over Florida so I took the opportunity to take my Sales Team to this Upper Keys hotel to change things up a bit, and lower the stress. That's the beauty of the Keys- you are quickly and easily transported to a more relaxed and better focused state of mind. But you are not in a hurry and neither is anyone else, nor are they expected to be.

This Hilton provided a great setting at a reasonable cost, less than am hour from Miami. The rooms were fine- large and accommodating, but ask for the higher floors if you expect a sunset view (which is beautiful every night). The restaurant provides the same view with super service and nice atmosphere above the mangrove canopy.

The hotel grounds are exactly as they should be in the Keys without upsetting the natural balance - blending in and setting you up to explore, which you must do. My kids would love this place! There is a tasteful little beach that feels like a private Caribbean hideaway.

High-end luxury brick and mortar it is not. But it is a high end luxury location for those that want a real keys escape, closer than you think.
