This is a motel. Clean but old. Sheets and comforter are pilly. There is no beach. It's a dusting of sand over concrete. They do have complimentary kayaking and paddle boards. Kind of tacky. I thought it'd be luxurious from the photos. Definitely not worth the price. Thin walls. Staff was friendly. Snook's restaurant next door was fun. Live music, good food.More

The people of this hotel make the experience the best. The location makes it nice too. The rooms are clean, and the beds comfortable. Great restaurant and back yard. The water pressure can be on/off but you are in Key Largo. They have great access to paddleboards and kayaks your kids will love it, parents too.

Was there for the weekend and not familiar with the are but thanks to Kat at the front desk my friend and i got some great recommendations for activities, restaurants and billiards place in the are. The kayaks are great and Nooks restaurant has awesome food and options. Kat, thanks again for being so helpful, friendly and making the stay even more enjoyable!

This place has the potential to be an amazing property; great location! We used to live in Key Largo so thought it would be a nice place for an event. Unfortunately the management is very unprofessional. We stayed here to attend a 50th anniversary celebration. The management shut down the entire event just 2 hours into our 5 hour event with no explanation other than the music was too loud. Why weren't we given the opportunity to turn it down? The way this was handled was so unprofessional. Why would anyone rent this place, plan an event, have guests come in from around the country to have it possibly shut down because the management decided it wasn't the right event for her hotel. There were 60 people attending, most in their 60's and some small children, We were not a noisy, party crowd, just a family wanting to celebrate 50 years of marriage. The staff that was on site were trying to be helpful but the manager didn't want to work with the group. We will never stay her or recommend this to anyone we know coming to Key Largo.
I am sorry that you were not happy with your event. We do events at Bayside and do have a Coordinator onsite during each event. We do work closely with our residential neighbors and restaurant located adjacent to us to coordinate and maintain music levels to an appropriate level.
The original event was booked as a small family gathering and evolved into a larger event with music. Our Coordinator did ask the DJ on several different occasions during the event to turn the music down as we were receiving calls from our neighbors. After the 3rd attempt to lower the music, we had to turn the music off for our other hotel guests and neighbors.
Again, I apologize that you were unhappy with the event. Had we been made aware of the music during the planning of the event, we would have had the ability to work with both the family and our neighbor's for a happy outcome for all.
Over the years I’ve recommended this place to family and friends, but NO MORE! The staff was so unprofessional and rude. They completely ruined our special event. I am extremely disappointed in the management and will no longer be staying here or recommending anyone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!
