Owner description: The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price. The two vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men's and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment. Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches. Productive reefs (natural and artificial) exist in 50 feet through 200 feet of water. The Gulf Stream comes to its closest point of land around the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets. All of our fishing 'catching' is done from ¼ mile to 3 miles from shore. Catches consist of Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, Cobia, Barracuda, Sharks, False Albacore and Wahoo. The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising. FREE TRIP RAFFLE EACH EXCURSION!!

Went out last year and enjoyed it so book advance trip. slept in a tent and the wind just kept getting worse all night. Got ot the dock and talked with the captain who agreed the trip would be rough and offered a return trip coupon or refund. took the refund and never felt pressured to go out.

I’ve been on this trip several times. The crew is always helpful very good with their guests. They always find the fish. Some trips are better than others but it’s always a great time.

So the crew were most excellent. Always there to help with bait or Tangles. But, to no one's fault but my own, I went on a Saturday, Easter weekend. The boat was completely booked and there was no decent current that day. So what you end up getting is a bunch of tangled lines and people walking on top of one another to try and keep their lines from doing just that. I did catch a fish, in a tangled line. The crew had to stand up for me to say that it was actually my fish since i brought up at least 10 other lines. But thats what you get when you go on a drift boat with 40 other people. So, you get what you pay for.

The whole crew was wonderful, extremely helpful, it was my first time to go fishing and they showed me how to catch a fish, organized, efficient. They know what hey are doing, move the boat a few places insuring there will be fish for the guest to catch. Clean and pack our catch. The boat was clean they communicate to the guest very well and clear on the instructions.
