I was in Immokalee for a volunteer construction project. In general, this is a very impoverished area and there is only one other hotel/motel in the immediate area. The other one looked truly unappealing. So, I stayed here. It is operated by a small, very pleasant family. Someone has taken quite a bit of effort to make it clean, with decent decorations, including bedspreads and wall-hangings, and a granite vanity top. It's a two-story older building, with all exterior corridors. The traffic is fairly heavy and the hotel/rooms are pretty close to the road = fairly noisy. There is a single window air-conditioning unit on the far wall of the room, but it seemed adequate. There's a pay washer/dryer onsite, as well as a pay ice machine. The lighting was pretty dim, but the lamp fixtures were attractive. Overall, I think the owners have made the most out of what the town will support for travelers.More
