My husband and I went to High Springs with some friends to have fun tubing on the river. Our friends camped at Ginnie Springs and luckily my husband and I decided to get a room. I found the Rustic Inn online and called to reserve a room. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner who lives on site. The owner was very nice and helpful in giving information on the area including places to eat. The Rustic Inn is located just outisde of the downtown HIgh Springs area which is a historical shopping area. It is also just a couple of miles from the springs where you can enjoy a good time on the Santa Fe River. The Inn is on a large property where it is peaceful and quiet. We spent time at our friend's campsite which had a "frat party" atmosphere on the weekend with typical campsite restrooms. We were happy at the end of the day to return to the peace and comfort of the Rustic Inn. We stayed in the "Cat Room" which was spacious, comfortable and clean. The Inn provides a well stocked breakfast basket as well as snacks and drinks in the refrigerator. Our first day, we got a late start out and had eaten most of the snacks. Upon our return, we found the room clean and the snacks replenished. I would definately recommend the Rustic Inn to those looking to relax in a quiet atmosphere while at the springs. It is also a great deal compared to some other locations around.
