Old school Miami Cuban charm with awesome counter for take out or quick meal.

Big servings for reasonably priced dishes. Can’t go wrong with white rice black beans and anything on the side.

Wish they had fish but will always be back for the coffee.

Morro Castle has some of the best fritas (the Cuban take on a hamburger) in town offered up in a highly informal, even grubby, atmosphere. It's still worth trying - great flavors, inexpensive prices and a good selection. Fritas are great but don't miss the pork sandwich - pan con lechon.

We had the sangria which was amazing and the fish chunks with moro were superb. What I loved was that the Moro was the natural color and it wasn't full of that black dye most restaurants use.

I can still remember, twenty, thirty years ago when my parents visited the U.S. and wanted to go to Morro Castle for a Cuban Specialty called FRITAS.

A VERY spicy hamburger with tinny, thin French-Fries under the bread. Delicious!!!

NO MORE!!!

The Fritas today are like old tasting meat, with lots and lots of Paprika.

The restaurant is somewhat dilapidated, the servers work from inertia, and the clientele is... Well, some things are better left unsaid.

I remember it in its golden years, it looks and feels like it's deceased!!

Too bad some people don't know when it's best to close.

If you want authentic Cuban food this is the place to go. Great prices, food, and service. Best breakfast special in Hialeah.
