Blue Arbor Guest Cottage was spotless, tastefully appointed, and had everything a guest could possibly want, right down to a new toothbrush. Michael and Roger, the innkeepers who reside in their separate home on the property, were very pleasant and eager to please. They even cut out newspaper information on restaurants staying open over the Christmas holiday, and as a solo traveler, I appreciated the extra touches. Take advantage of the fun and quirky restaurants and shops on Beach Blvd., which is just around the corner. The Gulfport Pier is a super stroll, and the beach is intimate, clean, and easily accessible with adjacent public parking. Blue Arbor is one of those rare spots that deserves return visits.
My hosts, Roger and Michael thought of everything! Each time I opened a drawer or cabinet, I found just what I needed. The newly constructed cottage is set back from the main road and nestled in beautiful Florida landscaping near the main house. I love the open, studio design and the bathroom with the large tiled shower. They have decorated with interesting pieces from their art collection and Roger's own glass work - the pictures don't do it justice. It is only a few blocks from the main street and bay walk in Gulfport, which has such a warm, old- time Florida feel. Blue Arbor Cottage is truly a Gulfport gem and I feel lucky to have found it! I extended my own stay and plan to come back next year :)
