In life, there are several must-have dining establishments. To name a few: the Mexican restaurant, the romantic special occasion restaurant, the seafood restaurant, the Sunday brunch restaurant, and of course, the Italian restaurant. Since Mama Mia's closed up in Wabasso literally decades ago, I have searched for a good Italian restaurant. None have come close till now. After a friend of my husband's took him to Expresso Pizza for lunch one day, he insisted I had to go try it out. I am so glad he did. All the food is made fresh to order and when the aroma and taste of the hand-tied garlic knots reminded me of meals enjoyed long ago, I knew I was in for an unforgettable dining experience. I always judge an Italian restaurant by their lasagna, and it was the best I've ever had--including Sicilian family meals I've had on Long Island. The meatballs were great, the marinara sauce excellent, and the alfredo sauce is as good as my husband's. He even agreed.
We have dined at Expresso Pizza many times since the first and everything is phenomenal--including the pizzas! If you've been searching for a good Italian restaurant, do yourself a favor and make the trip to Expresso Pizza. A casual family restaurant (open six days a week & closed on Sundays), with extremely affordable prices, great service, and phenomenal food! You will not be disappointed!
