Stayed at Pink Shell for a nice relaxing weekend. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were spotless, and the food was excellent! Both adults and children had a wonderful time! Easy drive to Jet Blue Park for spring training games as well. We really enjoyed our weekend at Pink Shell, and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

The pink shell was a beautiful hotel. Great for families, or couples. Beach was beautiful, but you had to pay for the beach chairs- no big deal. Rooms were completely spotless, and instead of room keys they gave everyone a bracelet that all you ha to do was scan your bracelet to get into the pool area, or room. Beach was my favorite part. There were many starfish you could pick up when the tide would go out, and other small crabs, and sea snails. One evening, it was complete dark, and the tide had gone out extremely far, as if it was a tsunami. You could go out and look for wildlife if you had a flash light d course! The hotel had complimentary beakfast for one morning. Deliciouse food, and an omlet cooker who was fantastic! The pools were very clean too! You would never be bored at this hotel., there are workers every hour with activities like bag decorating, and they just charge on the overall bill. The sunset was beautiful, and you could also go down walks on the beach all the way down the strip. We walked I the pier, where there were a bunch of fishers. Someone caught a baby shark!!! In the mornings we could say dolphin out In the ocean! What a beautiful view. You could also go downto the small stores, very unique with beach accessories, and souvenirs. In the hotel room was a full kitchen, with dishwater, and stove!! Just amazing- spectacular!! Also they had two bath robes you could use!:) definatly recommend going bak!! Also, you could just go a small drivers sanibel beach where there are millions of shells. And also we went to the bail tract nature walk. Kind of spooky with alligator tracks, and other wild life. But lots of fun, also down the street is a nature elk where we say a giant tortoise! So beautiful:D if your going to fort meyers beach, this is te best hotel to go to!! Others are a bit rundown, and older. PINK SHELL ALL THE WAY!!!:)

Stayed here for a much needed weekend getaway. The location on the beach is beautiful! We booked a studio, but arrived super early and were offered to upgrade (for a discounted price) to a 1 BR. Although it probably wasn't necessary, we were glad we did. We ended up using the kitchen to reheat some food we brought back from the restaurant. The 2 restaurants at the beach offer the same food / menu but the ambiance varies. Both are pretty good / outside. Some of the appetizers weren't that great, but the sandwiches and salads we otherwise had were very good and very fresh. They give vouchers for a breakfast buffet that is just excellent. (And I'm not really a buffet person in general) All rooms face the ocean, which means you probably can't go wrong. Everything was super clean and well maintained. Beach is amazing and the sand is literally like powder. You can rent the hotel chairs for I think it was 15 or 20/day or rent from a little company at the same spot on the beach that has cloth loungers and an umbrella for 25/day. They have a little cart that comes around and offers beach service, or you can just walk up to the pool area and bring your drinks back to your chairs. There is also a store in the hotel that sells beer / wine and you could just bring some right out with you to your beach chairs. The main pool was very well heated and clean. We didn't use the two others. Friday night they set up a giant movie screen at the pool and had popcorn machine. Was cute. Its about 25-30 mins or so from the Fort Myers airport. We ended up using a car service instead of a taxi and it wasn't much more, and very comfortable. There was a shuttle to take folks downtown (?) but we didn't use it. We didn't rent a car and we just stayed put for the weekend and for such a short trip it was fine.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort immensely! We travel extensively & have high expectations. The hotel was lovely and our suite was the size of a one bedroom condo. The kitchen was fully staffed and better than some we have stayed in in the Outer Banks. The breakfast pkg. was well worth the price as a full hot selection plus specialty items was offered each day. The white sand beach along with the pool (with full services) was just right for a get away. Note: there isn't much to do on Ft Meyers beach unless you go off-island and that is not easy during the day if you plan to come back across the bridge before 7. Lots of traffic! However if you just want a quite beach to lay on this is the place.

Room Tip: By all means opt for a gulf-view suite. Two full breakfasts are included in the price and the extra...

Upon check in, they gave us a room on the lobby level, right next to the pool. It was clean, but it was an older room, noisy and not very private. I asked to be moved to a nicer room, so they offered us a suite in the newer tower, top floor. It was more expensive, but it was worth every cent - it was outstanding, very spacious, great views, very clean. The main lobby building seemed like it was aging, but overall the resort was well maintained and the employees were very nice. The cafe by the pool actually had very good food. Free breakfast, free parking, free internet center, a beautiful beach, what more could you ask for. The pool seemed like it was geared toward kids, but there weren't very many kids there in early February, so it was pretty quiet and laid back. The constant Jamaican music piped throughout the lobby area became pretty annoying by day #3. I'm giving an overall rating of 5 stars because the room was so nice. If we had stayed in an older room, I'm sure my opinion would've been different.
