I stayed in the Birch Patio for 11 nights in november 2010; from the start, preparing my trip at home, Angela was really helpful .
Upon my arrival, I really felt welcomed; the room was very nice, tiled floor so there is not this funny smell you get with carpeting; the bathroom was really clean, even if it is a little dated, but that is the charm of it; I felt like going in a family house, brought back memories of my childhood holidays.
There is a fridge and a microwave in the room, a table outside, near a soothing fountain;
and it's only 2 blocks from the beach!
there are 3 pools on the property, everything clean and well maintened.
in the evening you can have access to a computer ank keep in touch with your e-mails
I would come back and surely will come back.

It's a bit funny to read all reviews before starting your own. Sometimes I wonder what people expect and how they have back home. This isn't a 5 star Spa Resort! It's a well maintenanced group of Motels nice located 2 blocks from the ocean with a good price. Atmosphere, nice people, pool,barbecue and more makes this a good choice. I saw no stains at all and you should have made complains about that at the reception instead of whining here.
I promise Angela would have done everything to solve it.
"Sometimes people tend to get more lazy and whining on vacation even if they have 10 times worse back home in their own living."
So our 2 weeks stay at this nice motel delivered and fulfilled all my expectations. Can recommend it to everyone how can enjoy a good clean motel with a moderate pricing.

We have stayed here for 16 days and we liked it very much. It is a perfect base for activities.
The rooms are very clean and there's a good atmosphere.
Because of the price, location and clean rooms we recommend the hotel certainly.

This year is the second time we stayed here. Angela is a great hostess and always helpful and pleasant though we tend to make last minute reservations. The property has its own pool and the adjoining Belmar has its own pool. If you want efficiencies, two blocks from the beach, cleanliness and quiet, this is your best bet and dollars well spent. I like it retro reminisent of old Florida but the beds are comfortable with a great pizza place 3 blocks away and the Shed up the street looking right onto but across the street serving beers and burgers kind of joint. I almost hate to share this review because I wouldn't want you to take my spot and a well kept secret.

The welcome when we arrived was so friendly that I really wish I could write a better review of this place.
First the good - the room was big with a big fridge, coffee maker, toaster and microwave. It looked clean, but a bit tired around the edges. The motel has a washing machine and drier that guests can use for a charge. There is a small, heated pool. There is a very cute ginger cat who lives on the property. Free parking and a convenient location for the beach.
The not so good - the towels and linen were all stained. Every single towel was covered in what looked like blood stains, and the bed sheets and pillow cases had black marks and brown (blood?) stains on them. Having seen this you just didn't feel like touching anything and although the bed was comfortable I couldn't get to sleep for thinking about the stains and not wanting to touch anything.
This is such a basic mistake and easily-remedied problem that it made you worry what else might be going on that you couldn't see. After one night we moved to a different property
