“Wonderful stay and great service”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

Stayed only 1 night before our cruise from Ft. Lauderdale and this place was perfect all around. Jorge, Barry and Tom were so helpful and friendly with all our needs. Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

We stayed here before our cruise. Jorge is amazing. He did everything he could to make our trip nice. We were two young girls traveling and he made sure we were safe.

My friend and I recently stayed at the Bridge at Cordova for a 2 night stay before our cruise. From the moment Jorge picked us up at the airport I knew we were in good hands. Two women travelling alone, we were a little nervous. Last year we stayed at the Embassy Suites on SE 17th Street. It was a lovely hotel, but quite expensive. This year we tried the Bridge at Cordova, which is just 2 blocks away from the Embassy Suites. The area is super close to the cruise port, and very safe to walk about and shop or dine in (Winn Dixie, Ross, Publix, Wine & liquor store) The Quarter Deck Restaurant has the best bacon cheeseburger you will ever eat, and Chuck's Steakhouse on SE 17th street is bar none the best steak you will ever eat. Go early, the line up is crazy. Back to the hotel.... the airport transportation is included in the price ($75 double-$85 larger Suite) continental breakfast in the morning (toast, fruit, cereal, etc...) Jorge will drive you to the cruiseport for $6 per person. What a deal. The Embassy suites charges $15 per person for transport to the cruiseport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff, Barry, Jorge, Tim, all make this place so homey and comfortable you will never want to leave. If you are going to Fort Lauderdale for a visit or just a quick stay before a cruise this is the place you should be staying....

Room Tip: If you are travelling with a larger group they have connecting rooms at a very reasonable rate.

Fort Lauderdale is full of questionable places to stay but the Bridge at Cordova was a happy surprise! Jorge, Barry, and the staff did everything they could to make our five-night stay most pleasant. Jorge even printed a coupon for a reduced admission to Bonnet House! The pool was clean as were the surroundings. A pick-up breakfast by the pool was fun. The other guests were interesting to talk with. Our room was large; outfitted with cabinetry that may have come from a yacht. The owners are working constantly to update the place. This is old Florida with a new look in an excellent location. We felt safe and welcome.
