Description: We are a Latin American Grill & Cafe housed in a restored 1924 historic house in downtown Fort Lauderdale, in Sailboat Bend. We are located just west of the Broward Center for Performing Arts. Our Food is Latin American with an emphasis on quality ingredients -- we strive to bring the best dishes of Latin America to your table in a casual and inviting atmosphere. The idea of restoring this historic, derelect house into a restaurant started with a projected completion time of 2 years and finally took 6 (SIX) years to complete. Our goal was to createa Neighborhood restaurant on the West side of the Las Olas area (in Historic Sailboat Bend) with a strong focus on quality food in a casual yet beautiful environment. Our Food menu showcases the best dishes of South America and Spain like Ceviches, Arroz Marinerro (Paella), and lighter fare like Empanadas, Fish Tacos, and Steak Sandiwches. Come experience the charm of this old home and join us for Lunch or Dinner Tuesday thru Saturday, or for Sunday Brunch. Or just come by and have some coffee (Lavazza is served), or sip some wine, a House Sangria, or a Pint of our Draft Beer.

This is a fantastic place for a pre-show dinner. It was pouring rain that evening so the owner even drove us across to the Broward Center in his car after dinner. The staff was attentive and fed a packed restaurant while allowing everyone to finish in time for the show. We will definitely return.

We ate here prior to going to the Broward Center. It is walking distance with only $10 for parking. The pre-theatre meal was delicious and filling and only $29. Reservations are suggested.

This establishment is so close to the Broward Center so we decided to try it before the show. I asked the server which dishes she recommended and we tried the Paella and the steak from her suggestions.

The Paella was tasty, but was missing the wonderful crispy bits you get from the authentic dish cooked in a cast iron pan. I've had better elsewhere. The steak was bland, as were sides served with it. No salad or bread is served.

The restaurant offers a pre-show three course dinner for $29 that includes an appetizer, entree and dessert when you dine before 7pm and show your ticket.

Next time, we will try a different restaurant before a show.

We ordered Churrasco, skirt steak, Peruvian Jalea and salmon. Some of the entrees were accompanied by house rice and fresh vegetables. Everything was very good. Our server was very pleasant. As it was only 58 degrees tonight, the heaters were great as we were dining outside. The Sangria was good. We will definitely return.

We went with another couple to this spot last Saturday night (December 9, 2017). The other couple had passed by the place but had not gone there. We decided to give it a try after the Fort Lauderdale Winterfest Boat Parade. The atmosphere is not fancy but it is cozy and makes you feel like you are in someone's home. Our waiter was very polite and helped us navigate the menu. The food was excellent and as an added bonus, they had really nice music playing on the sound system that varied from Latin to Latin Jazz to traditional Jazz. It is a very relaxing spot where you can dine and have a great conversation without having to yell over unnecessary noise.
