We've stayed 3 nights at Ikona and it was a good experience. The hotel was pretty new and wasn't busy and maybe because of that service wasn't that great - it was difficult to find staff during the day or someone at the pool bar, for example. Room was comfortable, spacious, with coffee machine and a small refrigerator, a very comfy bed and good shower. But, probably following US safety standards, the window was locked and the door was fireproof, what make it difficult to appreciate the view of the sea from the room. The place was clean, there's a nice terrace to sunbath where is possible to see the beach and the hotel is very near to the beach. At the time we've been there the beach chairs weren' t really new and comfortable, but they don't charge resort tax. The location is good, near main points and best beaches in fort lauderdale; they don't offer breakfast but there are restaurants walking distance. Also, they offer parking in front of the place. Comparing with the website's pics, we're expecting a charmer place, but it's a great choice in a city where resorts rule. We recommend.

Upgraded to the Ikona after booking the Fortuna. Ultra-modern property, with efficient layout. We had a pleasant stay and felt like we were in a European property. Clean and pleasant view of the courtyard from outside our room. Beach is just a short walk away.

Did spend the Easter week in this Hotel .
Nice place, familary, proper and stylish .
Almost new built.
Most of the staff very friendly.
Rooms are well equipped only cocking place missing.
We did pay first night up to 420 $ , next mights 330$, which is by far to high even for this nice place.
We expected a full hotel but just saw 2 rooms booked ???
For 330$ per night I would recommend the
W Hotel with 5*****.

We chose this hotel as a place to stay over Saturday night before our cruise left on Sunday.
We spent one night there in early February. For our purposes, this Hotel worked our perfect. It is a smaller boutique hotel. The receptionists checked us in promptly. The hotel has two stories will all outside facing rooms and no elevator. If you have big suitcases you might want to get a first story room.
The rooms are not super large but they were very nice. Our kids a room with two double beds and it was quite spacious.

The hotel is a block from the beach and in February had ample parking right in front of the hotel. The hotel has a nice courtyard with places to sit, a pool, an outdoor bar area (only serving later in the year) and a small sundeck. The sundeck is a nice place to read and watch the ocean.

For dinner, we had pizzas delivered (the front desk gave us a good suggestion for a local pizza restaurant), sat in the bar area and played cards until nearly midnight.

There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Before dinner, we walked to the Sun Surf Sand restaurant to have drinks and appetizers. All were excellent (the mac and cheese was very good). Not cheap but excellent. We also walked to the Village Café for Breakfast on Sunday. Our food was very good and our service was very prompt. That said noticed they were a little disorganized and one couple left after not being greeted. For us a good breakfast place that was quick, reasonably priced and within walking distance.

I would recommend this hotel as a nice place to stay. Not sure what it’s like in peak season but we had an excellent stay.

Room tip: Two stories no elevator- recommend lower level rooms .That said all doors open outside but the courtyard is secured at night.

We were met by Oscar who was very courteous and asked if he could help us with luggage. The set up is really nice, with the pool and bar outside. Don't worry folks they have a great ice machine. A terrific view of the beach about 300 yards away. Close to all the restaurants and bars but in its own little world with a great staff. I give it five stars but would suggest you change shower heads for better water pressure. Great lil place!!!!!!
