“Great pre-cruise stay!”
Reviewed 26 April 2012

Unlike what some others have said, we had a great stay here. We were only here for the night and picked up the hotel from Hotwire. We arrived early (10am), and room were not ready yet. I called ahead and was told to put my name on the list to get called when we arrived. After a quick taxi ride from the airport for around $20-25, we checked in and put our names on the list. The bellman took our bags, and we walked around. The hotel location is great and has an amazing view from the top. It was busy as there were too weddings going on the day we stayed, but it wasn't too crowded. After a drink and lunch by the pool, we were called around 12pm (only 2 hrs later!) to check in. We had a Lanai room on the east side with a nice view of the waterway. Everything was clean and as expected, great for a relaxing night stay. We ended up taking the van to the beach and walked around. Someone mentioned earlier that the van drops you at a hotel that's not near anything. They must have not walked far enough because there were plenty of shops and places to eat just up the road. When we got back, we had some excellent sushi at the restaurant bar. The next morning we went for a walk around the marina area to check out all of the large boats. There are some great sights out there! After a seamless checkout, we picked up a van (taxis were also available) to the port.

Definitely an excellent stay, and I would not hesitate to stay here again!

This place was recommended by a customer when our daughter got engaged. We looked at many places in Palm Beach and Broward counties and were pretty disappointed. They wanted a waterside wedding. From the time we met with the event coordinator, Keith Willert to the day of he wedding, we had very little hassels. The price was inclusive of everything including a five hour open bar, hors d'heurves and the cake was delicious and the bride and groom got the honeymoon suite included! People are still calling us and commenting on the event. We reserved 29 rooms and each one plus was taken. We had a few bumps with the reservations and the brides room which were quickly resolved beyond our expectations. Our wedding event was April 14, 2012,

We stayed here two nights before our cruise. What a lovely hotel. Our room was on the tenth floor with a balcony overlooking the port, harbor and sparkling ocean.

The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. We took a shuttle to the beach during the day and walked the lovely grounds of the hotel in the evening. Also right next door are some spectacular luxury yachts whose excesses are astonishing.

And except for the $25 parking fee, everything was fine.

We highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Definitely request higher floor rooms with a harbor view. Totally worth it.

Generally Hyatt Regency Hotels are top notch. This Hyatt was the exception. Specifically, Hyatt's are clean and modern, or else older hotels that have been well renovated. My wife and I stayed at this hotel April 16 through April 20th and the general experience was the following: mold in our bathroom toilet and shower, tiny ants in the bathroom sink and after three complaints the ants were still present. The ants became so numerous that they even cllimbed up my power toothbrush! Severe rust on at least four machines in the exercise room. TV's in the exercise room did not allow channel changing unless you called security. The TV remote did not function at all in Lanai room #2020, so the hotel replaced it after almost an hour's wait. The safe did not work 80% of the time due to malfunctioning buttons on the safe. We left our room at around 11:18 one morning for the beach, and our room had not been cleaned when we returned (after 6:00 p.m.) Severe noise next door to us on our third evening. Security was called and in about 45 minutes the noise ended. The only people who would like this hotel would be people used to staying in 2 or 3 star properties, and then this is not a guarantee. It is the worst Hyatt Hotel I have ever stayed in. The rough surface on the bathtub was so dirty that my wife placed a hotel towel over it so that she could feel comfortable taking a bath. The dirt was so ground in that only a bathtub replacement or sandblaster would remedy the situation.
The first night, as we were driving out of the property, security asked us where our yellow parking tag was. We were never told anything about a parking tag when we checked in or entered the property, so we had to get out of the car and have one issued by the valet people.
The hotel was booked through Priceline.com, which stated that the property was "near" the beach. Actually, the hotel is at least a mile from the beach, which, in my opinion, is not near the beach.

Room Tip: Under no circumstances allow them to place you in a Lanai room. These are the older rooms that are...

Each of the 4 days we stayed was more amazing then the previous. The most friendly and professional staff, excellenct food at each of the restaurants, especially grill 66. I have traveled the worled for work and this restaurant excells in every aspect. We had a great botlle of wine followed by what I belive to be a great bone in rib eye cooked to perfection ( medium rare) and a shrimp and scallops that was WOW mouth wotering fresh. The grounds are so clean and elegant and the lobby of the hotel is very calming. We will be back again and again, thanks to everyone whos effort really shows.

Room Tip: Stay in 1460, never leave the premises and soak in the ambiance as well as the 200 million dollar ya...
