We knew nothing about the area and wanted a place quiet and away from the hustle and bustle from the event we were working with. River Wilderness Waterfront Villas was just the place. The only disadvantage is that it was 45 minutes away but what is not 45-60 minutes away in this area.

We originally booked our villa using a third party but within minutes of receiving a confirmation I received a phone call from Jean at River Wilderness stating that the villa we booked was not available. At first I was very disappointed and was going to look for another place to stay but she was able to find a solution for us and offered a discount on our stay. It was not what we originally wanted but it worked out well.

The villas have parking spots under them which helped avoid any hassles with finding a spot and to keep the birds from soiling our vehicle.

We arrived in town very late (3 am) and we let the staff know ahead of time so they made arrangements for us for a late check in that was very easy and allowed us into our room to get some sleep.

We will definitely stay here next year when we return.
We loved being able to come "home" after a busy day to a fully stocked kitchen so that we could cook a healthy meal rather than going out. We had everything we needed and plenty of refrigerator and cabinet space for the things we purchased.

The screened in back porch looking out at the river was a perfect way to unwind after a long day and kick up our feet. We did not take advantage of the free canoes but definitely will next time.

Very good value for Price relation!
Do not expect luxury, but still fully OK and in very Close vincinity of all airboat rides.
Jack's airboat ride booking is just next to it!
Balcony is fully equpiped with mosquito avoidance and view is excellent.
For a one or two day stay perfect, for a week stay rather not proposed.
Late night Arrival has been no Problem, but you would have to anounce upfront.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a perfect place to stay while fishing the Everglades. The boat ramp was easy to use and get to. The place was clean all the appliances worked. Couldn't give any reason not to stay here again, just perfect!

We rented a one and two bedroom villa with our kids and dog. The villas were clean, spacious and had all of the amenities we needed. The staff and extremely gracious and accommodating. I would definitely stay again!

When we arrived they said our booking with booking.com could not be found. We had asked for a 2 bed room. Anyway the lovely lady on reception gave us 2 rooms for the price of one which was what we were supposed to have paid when booked.

All rooms are up a flight of stairs so be wary if anyone In your party has an issue with stairs.

Balcony is fab - overlooks the water. netting all the way round to keep out the bugs. Yes there are bugs ! but you are in the Everglades.
I would say that the place is in keeping for the area. its not super posh but it's clean and comfortable.
Loved sitting out and watching the sun go down, then got up early to watch it rise.
And best thing is that you can borrow the canoes - it was a first come first serve basis. We went out for about 45 mins and made it a holiday highlight.
