There are not too many places to stay in the midst of the Everglades. This hotel is one of them and has the charm that it still has its own character - not being part of a hotelchain. Spacious rooms, breakfast included, easy access to Everglades and its activities such as airboatrides and kayaking. Swimmingpool and nets againts mosquito's (summertime).

Just returned from an incredible fishing trip in the Everglades where we stayed at the Ivey House. Hurricane Irma directly hit Everglades City but they’re resilient people and many businesses are back up and operational. The Ivey House’s accommodations were clean, quiet, and comfortable- all you could hope for after a long days fishing! We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here and also got the Everglades Exploration package. The room was nice, beds comfortable, and there was a towel elephant creation waiting for the kids. Kayaking was great! Breakfast yummy. Lunch was made to our specification. Everything is right there, and with the package you see it all. We got there late, and our key was waiting. People were friendly. Our kayaking guide DJ was superb.

Stayed here prior to an 8 day paddle trip in the Everglades with Florida Outdoor Adventures. The hotel was recommended by the trip leader Dave K. I came in much later than expected. My room key was waiting for me on arrival. The hotel is very clean, and caters to outdoor lovers, easy clean surfaces all around. Little touches like reminders to apply bug spray outside remind you what’s waiting. Stay here and get a good nights rest and shower before handing out.

We came here years ago, coming back was different as the town struggles with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. The main hotel is in operation and restaurants are opening up. Come here, have a good n trip, and help the locals.
