“A great place on the route to many lovely sites on Gulf of Mexico, west coast Florida.”
Reviewed 18 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We were the first folks to stay at this rental home. The only negative we had as a family unit was the decor of the house. It needs some updating but the owner has put a lot of work into the house and it shows. It just needs to be tweaked a little more. The house has plenty of parking for several cars. It has a great view on the back side of the house- it over looks the Lemon Bay/Stump Pass. It is right on the water. The kitchen is well stocked with new plate ware, silver wear, plenty of pots and pans, dish towels. There are brand new bikes (4 or 5) in several sizes and two kayaks. The house has a good lanai with screens in good condition and two tables for outdoors dining. There are plenty of chairs around the two outdoor tables. There is also an indoors dining room table. The pool is in very good repair and clean. Again, it is enclosed in the lanai. The house is located very close to markets and the main street in town and yet you do not hear street noise nor see traffic- you feel you are far away from the commercial area and yet it is nearby. There are local churches, stores and plenty of businesses that cater to your outdoor recreational needs, e.g. we rented a boat nearby and enjoyed the intercoastal. Gasparilla Island, state parks and Sarasota were all easy drives. The house is not on the very beach but wonderful beaches are within a couple of miles.

Mr. Sullins the owner was wonderful to work with. He is just an email or phone call away. We needed to ask him something a couple of times and he immediately got back to us via email. He was very easy to work with. Gave us his phone and told us that we could call him any time.

If I were going back to the house I would probably take a toaster oven. I mentioned to Mr. Sullins that that would be nice to have. The WiFi works well.
I would also like to see a TV in the large family room. While we were there the TV was in the master bedroom and that can kind of limit who watches TV- we were three generations staying there and a common tv for the whole family in a public room would have been nice for us- we got by fine as we did not want to watch much tv.

I would definitely recommend this home and hope to stay there again in the future with my family. We all enjoyed the home and had the same wish list- toaster and tv, decor needs a little updating. This was a good rental and we all enjoyed the pool and back side of the house very much. BTW the neighbors are a distance away and very quiet.

A BBQ would have been nice to have but there was none. We did fine with the indoor kitchen as it was well stocked with what you would want in a vacation rental.

We're in! The suggestions of toaster, bbq and the TV coming for the den are all right on. This vacation rental is ramping up for us and we will be adding these and more improvements.

We will be using Manor ourselves during Sept, Oct and Nov so we will have the time to add so much. Thanks for the encouraging notes and we hope to have you back. Dave and Eliza
