“Well deserved relaxing weekend”

My 2grandchildren and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the farm. Everything was there that we needed. Very clean and adequate space. We just had to bring our games, personal items and food, and of course, carrots for the horses. Our host, Jean and her staff were very helpful, and we even went swimming in Jean's pool. I knew the weekend was a success when my granddaughter asked when we were coming back.

“What a wonderful experience to stay on a horse farm.”

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage on the horse farm. What a pleasure it was to wake up and look out the window and see horses running in the pasture. It was such a great experience for our family (which consisted of school age children) to walk around the farm and see the horses and feed them carrots and talk to the staff and the owner. There is numerous things to do near by.......springs, pancake breakfast at DeLeon Springs State Park, pioneer village. The cottage is nice and our family of four stayed there comfortably. From a previous review we learned there is well water and therefore we brought our own water so it was a non issue for us.

“Secret cottage hideaway on a 22 acre horse farm”

We recently spent one week at this lovely cottage off the beaten track, yet still in very close proximity to the beaches, state parks, local shopping & restaurants & numerous tourist destinations. The cottage had everything we needed as our home base between races at the Volusia Speedway, Ormond & Daytona beaches, Daytona Bike Week, the Daytona International Speedway, the Pioneer Settlement, the Blue Springs & DeLeon Springs State Parks. Our marvelous host Jean Thornton told us to take the time to eat at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill Restaurant which was a must do, as well at the Pioneer Village. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful & quiet neighborhood, including waking up to horses in the nearby pastures. This is country living, not the Hampton Inn, so expect well water and a well loved cottage. We are planning to make this our Florida home base for two weeks next March if we are so lucky!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Jean and her staff were very friendly and accomodating.. I liked wandering the farm, feeding carrots to the horses and watching them train. Many things to do in the area., and not far from the ocean. I would stay here again. Thanks Jean.
