I had found this when looking for some blood sausage in the Daytona area, so we decided to call in before we left. My wife and I had the cheese sampler to start with it came with crackers as well there was plenty of cheese maybe should have got one between the two of us. I had a German draft beer and my wife had Diet Pepsi, then we both ordered the sausage sampler which had a selection of about 6 types of sausages we ordered 4 different types and shared them I had American potato salad and potato pancakes my wife had Sauerkraut and German potato salad. We had to take home half of it very filling and very enjoyable our server was very good and quick the bar is worth a visit just to see all the products they have on offer amazing call in. I will be back next time in Daytona, they have been around for 42 years and have over 440 types of different beers to offer.

What a cute little place, stuffed to the gills with German stuff you can buy, and it is in the Mall near Daytona Speedway! The bar runs the length of the restaurant, and when we entered the bartender kept close track of us so we could ask a bunch of questions and then be served right away. I loved eating at the bar! We started with German Beers (yum!) and then had the Red Baron Sandwich on rye and the Blue Max Sandwich on pumpernickel. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back!

I love German food having grown up in Pennsylvania Dutch country. The food here is decent tasting BUT portions are on the small side & overpriced for what you get.
Especially the sandwichs...very skimpy by deli standards. I've learned you have to order the double meat to get a decent size sandwich. They even offer a 50% more meat option so that tells me small portions have made them offer that?
I like their red cabbage (even though today or wasn't hot like it usually is. It was barely warm).
The portion size you get off you take the offer to replace potato chips for the red cabbage is also anemic for the additional $1.79 they charge. From past experience today I asked if ordering a side for $2 29 was a larger portion & was told no, they both come in a 4 oz cup so you're lucky to get 3 oz of red cabbage.
They DO have a phenomenal selection of draft & bottled beers. They also run monthly tasting events that absolutely PACK this tiny place.

We usually hit this place on dull days at the beach. Mr. Dunderbak's is a fixture at the Volusia Mall. There are other places to eat, but this place located near the Sear's store has been there for as long as the mall has operated. The food is always good, albeit the bread could be better.

Try the Reuben with a Guinness.

BTW. They have as many beer choices as sandwiches on the menu. And a deli serving fresh cold cuts and cheese.

This place is great to have soup and sandwich while shopping at the mall instead of having fast food at the food court. The atmosphere is good. The service a great. We even go just for the food and then go home. You can also purchase wines, cheese, meat and take them home. Cool little shop in the back of the store.
