I would give this place a few pluses and one equally fat minus, unfortunately. Let me start with pluses. First one is the great location - right next to the bridge connecting to the mainland and also right across the street from the Cracked Egg, an awesome breakfast diner. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from popular attractions - Daytona Beach Shoppes and the Boardwalk, Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, Crabby Joe's and more. What makes this hotel even better – it is right on the oceanfront. You can see and hear the ocean when you open your room door; and to get to the beach all you have to do is to go down the stairs at the end of the very small parking lot. There’s also a pool facing the ocean and plenty of tables and chairs so you can eat your dinner and enjoy the view.
I’m about to talk about the one big fat minus, but I’m willing to get this place a benefit of a doubt. Because not a single review mentioned this problem before. So, hopefully, it is a freakish incident and is being taken care of? The problem? - cockroaches! And not only small ones – some half inch ones roaming the place like it belongs to them.
