We booked with Captain Stacy before leaving Scotland and based on Trip Advisor reviews. We wanted to do something special for my wife's birthday on April 24. Well, from the first e mail contacts with Stacy it was a very special experience indeed. I can only concur wholeheartedly with all the other reviewers in everything they say. Stacy is knowledgable, informative, patient and really fun. Like many, we chose her because the impression we had was her tour might just be different from the mass tour companies. It was! I am sure they must be fine, but we found our experience to be private, relaxed and at all times the manatees came first. Stacy delivers exactly what the website says.
As to our specific tour, we were hardly out from the jetty when we encountered dolphins hunting fish. It was simply spectacular as they swam back and forth, coming out of the water, circling and making the fish leap (I think Stacy was as excited and delighted as we were) all within feet of us.
Then quickly Stacy found us manatees and into the water we went. I just can't adequately describe how magical it was. The gentle creatures investigated us from tip to toe and I even had one put her face against mine and blow gently while I was hanging on to the boat clearing my snorkel; as if to say, "are you ok?" Of course this is a wild creature but its a lovely thought and it was magical.
We all had long interactions with manatees and Stacy never rushed us, and made sure it was the manatees who decided when and for how long to interact with us.
Then we went to Three Sisters Spring, which we had to ourselves. Crystal clear water, encircled with trees, silent and peaceful....again magic.
I was cautious of the fact that every single review, without exception, waxed lyrical about Stacy and the tour. I need not have worried. Everything people have said we found to be true and more.
And yes, we too received many wonderful pictures from Stacy.
Take this tour, you will not be disappointed.
