Native Miamians, we looked forward to Uncle Tom's reopening, this was our second visit since. We sat down just before 6 pm with only two other tables occupied by a couple and a family, already eating. Waited 10 minutes at table till someone came by to offer drinks, there were at least 5 servers on the floor, mostly chatting with each other. Having put in our order, there was three of us, I asked for my cornbread early, a second request 15 minutes later received the response, oh it just happens to be ready, and then the long wait for our dinners while listening to loud rock in roll. We had better service a few weeks ago during a packed house at lunch hour, our server this trip had her own social agenda elsewhere. Had to ask three different people to bring a check, a coffee and tea refill, finally got the check but couldn't wait for drinks now 1 !/2 hrs.. My wife is gracious enough to leave a decent tip since others are there but this deserves a rare disappointing review from a regular.
