Very interesting items there. Friendly people. Rich color photos of the Indians. Nice overlook into the water. Very short quick look around but worth stopping if your into the history of Everglades city

Smallwood's store is an almost 100 year old Everglades store and trading post. Full of history, it's still run by descendants of the original founding family. Its in a beautiful spot, lots of shells on the beach nearby. They run boat tours out into the bay, but they are not airboat tours.

If you came this far better check out this historic place. Basically a picture in time of a 1920's store and post office preserved and run by the family of Ted Smallwood. A bargain fee of $5 gets you in to see what life was like back then in the Florida Everglades. They also offer boat tours of the area around Chokolosksee Island.
